- Joe Russell
- Born in Dublin in 1973 Joseph Russell has been painting for many years. After studying in the European School of animation where he specialised in classical and later computer animation, he moved to Birmingham where he worked for a successful computer games firm as a character designer and animator. Joseph has also spent many years working as a graphic designer as well as working freelance animating music videos, reflecting his keen interest in multimedia and technology. However, he truly feels at home in front of his easel, and so has returned to his first love, painting. He combines his classical training with his modern graphic career producing a truly unique style of painting. Capturing events all audiences can relate to, waiting for the Luas or hurrying across town in the rain, Joseph injects every day scenes with a serene beauty that belies the fast paced chaos of contemporary Dublin.
